Faster at 40 – Welsh athlete Adam Bowden places in top 3 over 40 runners at London Marathon
This weekend’s London Marathon saw Bridgend elite runner Adam Bowden, who works as a Raynor Massage therapist and running coach at One2One Therapy in Bridgend, finish in the top 3 runners over 40 – and placed as 21st male overall.
Finishing with a time of 02:19:34, Adam was delighted.
The Commonwealth Games veteran and former GB International Triathlete Adam has pledged to perform faster at 40 than in his 20s – and if this is anything to go by, it’s a great start.
Adam said:
“It was an amazing experience and the atmosphere was incredible. I’m happy to have finished 21st but the 3rd Vet 40 was the icing on the cake.
“The legs were screaming at 35k so I know what I need to work on.”
