Outdoor activity giant Zip World will be offering local residents the opportunity to get a 50% discount on activities at their six UK sites across Manchester, Windermere and Wales.

If you’re local to Zip World’s Welsh sites, you have the opportunity to beat the January blues and experience the world’s fastest zipline, or the world’s only adventure golf set in an underground cavern at a fraction of the price when you book to participate before the 9^th February.

This is a special deal, exclusive to local residents, with some adventures starting at just £9 per person. Experiences including Bounce Below are also completely sheltered from elements, so is a great family activity to get everyone active at the start of the New Year.

Velocity – Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, North Wales

Velocity is the fastest zipline in the world, reaches speeds of 100mph+ and boasts unbeatable views of the Snowdonia/Eryri mountain range and the Menai Straits.

With four parallel lines over two separate zip zones, Velocity allows visitors to enjoy the experience of a lifetime alongside friends and family.

Prices vary but start from £46 with the discount added. Riders must be a minimum of 1.2m and adults must accompany anyone under 18.

 

Underground Golf – Zip World Llechwedd, North Wales 

The world’s first underground adventure golf course set in a cavern is deep below the ground in a disused mine and is only accessible by Europe’s steepest cable railway.

The 18-hole course offers an impressive display of lighting and interactive elements as you putt your way through the course’s exciting and unique levels, with four floors to tackle.

Prices vary start from £11 with the discount added. Experience takes up to 1.5hrs and is suitable for children from 3 years plus with an accompanying adult.

 

Plummet – Zip World Betws-y-Coed, North Wales 

The world’s first tandem drop experience, Plummet is an incredible 100ft tower with a trapdoor drop that’s the ultimate test for thrill-seekers.

After climbing a set of steps up the tower, visitors will stand on a trapdoor either alone or with a companion and wait for the doors to release.

Individual price £9, tandem price £11.50 with the discount added. Riders must be a minimum of 1.2m and tandem riders must be no more than 40kg different in weight.

 

Tower Coaster – Zip World Tower, South Wales

Tower Coaster is the first two-seated coaster of its kind in Europe and will send you chasing around the historic Zip World Tower site, reaching speeds of up to 25mph.

Having just relaunched, Tower Coaster offers side-by-side karts offering a family-friendly way to see the Tower Colliery up close.

Prices start from £5 with the discount added. Children from 4 years old and of a minimum of 1.05m can ride the Tower Coaster.
