The Old Cottage, Cardiff has received a stunning refurbishment, re-opening to guests with a new look on Saturday April 9th.

The Old Cottage, located in picturesque Lisvane, Cardiff has undergone a significant makeover that has given the much-loved eating and drinking spot a modernised, stylish and contemporary feel.

Serving a top-quality menu featuring fresh flavours inspired by the seasons and modern world-food trends, guests can choose from a broad range of premium grill dishes, fresh fish that’s delivered daily, Asian influences and plenty of healthier and lower calorie options.

Leading the charge is Head Chef, Michael Wright who has been with the pub for just under two years.

Whether you fancy something from the grill, such as Rotisserie Pork Belly or expertly aged Steaks, there’s something to suit all tastes, plus a dedicated Vegan Menu. A range of exciting small plates designed for sharing, make the perfect start to your dining experience; with dishes such as Asian-inspired Bao Buns, Chipotle Sticky Chicken and King Oyster Mushrooms, all freshly prepared by its expert team of chefs using the very best ingredients.

Still offering fantastic value, the lunch menu includes dishes under 650 calories, hand stretched stone-baked pizzas and freshly prepared sandwiches. A brunch menu of classic favourites and healthy alternatives is also be served from 9am on Saturdays and Sundays.

To make weekends extra special, peruse the extensive cocktail menu, which includes classics with a twist, such as a Koko Colada, everyone’s favourite Martinis and a selection of Spritz. Roast dinners at The Old Cottage are not to be missed – on Sundays, diners can enjoy a hearty roast with all the trimmings with family and friends.

General Manager, Marc Richardson comments: “Myself and the team are delighted with the new look at The Old Cottage – and we can’t wait to see what our regulars, and new guests, think! We have kept our two fireplaces, as we know these are guest favourites, and enhanced the seating round these – perfect for cosy, country dining or enjoying drinks with family and friends. I’m confident visitors to The Old Cottage will be blown away by the stunning new look – we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

As part of the refurbishment, the pub has received a full makeover, creating a brand-new bar, and with two feature booths installed in the main restaurant. The upstairs area of the pub has also been revamped and will now be available for exclusive private dining for small groups – ideal for a celebration, or family occasion. The new look takes inspiration from the natural beauty of Lisvane, while seamlessly incorporating fantastic period features with touches of the luxurious throughout.
