The Old Cottage in Lisvane is having a makeover that will see the much-loved eating and drinking destination reopen next week with a spectacular new look.

The newly renovated Old Cottage will re-open to the public on Saturday 9th April. Continuing to provide a top-quality menu it will offer fresh flavours inspired by the seasons and modern world-food trends with a broad range of premium grill dishes to enjoy such as Rotisserie Pork Belly or expertly aged Steaks, Asian influences, plus plenty of healthier and lower calorie options.

We caught up with Showcasing seasonal flavours, from Asian-inspired Bao Buns to Chipotle Sticky Chicken and King Oyster Mushrooms, the menu will combine irresistible creations with comforting classics, plus a dedicated vegan menu. All freshly prepared by its expert team of chefs using the very best ingredients.

Its new and improved décor will be a top to tail transformation, taking inspiration from the UK’s most luxurious country dining and drinking hotspots. The sophisticated design will combine earthy, wooden tones with a rich warm palette, brass finishes and smooth leather, creating an opulent and cosy feel. Plush velvet seating and feature lighting will also add a touch of glamour to this otherwise relaxing and inviting space. Expertly crafted furniture, eye-catching artwork and feature finishing touches will also be on offer, coming together to make the pub truly one-of-a-kind.

Marc Richardson, General Manager at The Old Cottage comments: “Our guests are going to be blown away by the changes to this already beautiful building. Our team cannot be more excited to show off the new style when we re-open on Saturday 9th April, along with the great service they strive to provide every time. The re-opening marks a new chapter, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

To make weekends extra special, guests can peruse the extensive cocktail menu, which includes classics with a twist, such as a Koko Colada, everyone’s favourite Martinis and a selection of Spritz. Roast dinners at The Old Cottage are not to be missed – on Sundays, diners can enjoy a hearty roast with all the trimmings with family and friends.
