Knit a tea Cosy to help raise money for Avoncroft Museum

Avoncroft Museum is a charity which rescues, conserves and preserves historic buildings and structures from the west midlands. There is everything from aTARDIS-style police phone box to a post-war prefab home, and from a windmill to a Victorian tin chapel. It is a fascinating and important place which hosts school visits for over 8,000 children a year, and provides days out for over 20,000 visitors.

With the effects of the weather and as the buildings grow older more conservation work needs to be done to ensure that future schools and families can continue to enjoy this interesting and beautiful site and these glimpses of life in the past.

Knitters can contact the Museum for free tea cosy patterns on 01527 831363 or (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). The Museum is also encouraging people to create their own (possibly inspired by an Avoncroft building) to knit too.

Having knitted a tea cosy bring it to our Edwardian Tea Room. Ever yone who donates a tea cosy in person will be rewarded with a complimentary hot drink.

If cosies are being entered by post please complete and return the entry form (downloadable) with your cosy.
